Notice how the eye has shadow around the iris and the colour tones. I know you are trying to make the eye look red but some other colours need to be added to make it work. From the look of the image you have desaturated all the skin and re-coloured the eyes in, it might work better if there is some colour in the rest of the image. About 10% saturation, something like that, then play around with the skin tones.
Oh and get rid of the photoshop filter. It's best to use those things in small doses, if at all.
